Dr. Scott Hahn became a member of CUF shortly after becoming a Catholic in 1986. He served on CUF’s board of directors from 1995–2006 and was chairman of the board from 2002–06. Since 2006, Hahn has served as a member of CUF’s advisory council. He has written many articles for Lay Witness magazine. He has also written, co-edited, or contributed to several books through Emmaus Road Publishing, including Catholic for a Reason I, II, III, and IV; Scripture Matters, and Understanding Our Father.

An exceptionally popular speaker and teacher, Dr. Hahn has delivered numerous talks nationally and internationally on a wide variety of topics talks related to Scripture and the Catholic faith. His talks have been effective in helping thousands of Protestants and fallen away Catholics to (re)embrace the Catholic faith.

He is currently a Professor of Theology and Scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990, and is the founder and director of the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In 2005, he was appointed as the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Hahn received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a triple-major in theology, philosophy and economics from Grove City College in 1979. He went on to earn his Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1982 and was ordained at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Virginia. He entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil, 1986. He received his Ph.D. in Biblical Theology from Marquette University in 1995.

Dr. Hahn’s book credits include: Ordinary Work, Extraordinary Grace; Understanding the Scriptures; Letter and Spirit; Swear to God; Lord Have Mercy; First Comes Love; Hail Holy Queen; The Lamb’s Supper; and A Father Who Keeps His Promises. Dr. Hahn and his wife, Kimberly, co-wrote Rome Sweet Home: Our Journey to Catholicism. Dr. Hahn has also written numerous articles in lay and academic publications.

Dr. Hahn and Kimberly reside in Steubenville, Ohio. They have six children.
